This year's International Women's Day (IWD) 2025 coincides with the 30th anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action (Beijing+30). This landmark declaration marks a significant milestone in the global quest for women's empowerment, gender equity, and inclusive development.

The RNID Food Competition and Traditional Drinks Show is focused on promoting Nigerian indigenous food and drinks products that are accessible, delicious, and easy to process, especially those that are gradually being neglected. 1. Student Event: Food Competition
The RNID Food and Drinks Show would like to specially invite young people from schools, independent students, or families to enter the competition to help them develop their entrepreneurial mindset at an early age and expand their horizons through community events.
Contestants should be between 11 and 16 years old.
They must present food or drinks products from one of the three categories.
Winners will be selected by RNID food and drinks professionals and will receive consolation prizes, including a certificate of participation, during the Nigerian Independence Day event celebration.
Categories:
- A product using indigenous Nigerian ingredients.
- A product to help young people increase their intake of fruits and vegetables.
- A local/traditional dessert product that has no added sugar.

2. Entrepreneurship Event: Food Packaging Show
We would like to invite entrepreneurs to the RNID Food and Drinks Show. The purpose of this food packaging show is to encourage the use of high-quality packaging for local indigenous foods, as well as the right leveling and mix of ingredients that are locally sourced, nutritious, and healthy for people. The food packaging show will focus on imparting the knowledge and skills needed to facilitate innovative product packaging to ensure the sustainability of local food suppliers and meet the demand of the global food market.
Eligibility:
- Online registration
- Producer of local food packaging
- Entrepreneurs with a new idea for food packaging that they want to introduce to the market use during the competition
- Adherence to rules and regulations
- Previous RNID participants are excluded from the 2023 RNID competition.

The judges will score the contestants on a number of criteria and will award consolation prizes for the three runner-up winners, as well as prizes for the best presenter, best display, innovative content, packaging, and best products with commercial potential.

The Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW2022) activities include the ‘one-on-one leadership success story session’ with prominent mentors for students, which is a way of encouraging and motivating participating students to be the best in their various skilled fields of endeavor. It also includes the School Leadership Retreat for school authorities with the objectives of identifying the factors that negatively affect good leadership and school culture.

Update on the October Celebration; Food Exhibition Competition
The NID tour photo exhibition was successfully completed on the 1st October, but the celebration is not over yet, the RIEDI food exhibition competition will hold on Saturday, 30th October, 2021 at Corporate plaza Reality Auditorium, 142 Isa Kaita Road, Kaduna.

GEW is a global celebration of innovators and job creators who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. GEW 2020 is packaged for Entrepreneurship Scheme for School (ES4S), activities (with adherence to COVID 19 protocols) to empower the young creative minds, who are enthusiastic, young with wild imaginations, and amazing talents to offer, dedicated to attract the attention of parents, guardians, teachers, philanthropists, individuals and 0ganizations who are willing to support their efforts, hopes, aspirations and ambitions for a better Nigeria.
The GEW 2020 event objectives include: to help explore young creative minds that have been under locks without school or any social activities in the previous months; to test their abilities and skills in order to drive the culture of art, drawing, graphic design and painting as an entrepreneurial skill under various categories of the Art to compete; as a means of protecting our heritage, traditional values, and historical documentations archiving culture and most importantly, staying in tune with the global, national and community events; Ultimately, make the young creative minds realize they are ordinary people with extraordinary determination.

Eligibility:
• Every young creative mind, male and female
• Participants should be within the age limit of (8-18 years).
• School pupils and students.
• Nigerian or residing in Nigeria.

Guidelines:
• Participants must be knowledgeable about art, painting and graphics;
• Participants must upload/send 2 existing art work and sketch with attached briefing about the art work, date started and completed and the owner's signature on it

ENTREPRENEURSHIP SCHEMES FOR SCHOOL (ES4S) NATIONAL ART COMPETITION NIGERIA 2021 EDITION.
Every year during the Global Entrepreneurship Week GEW winners of various categories under the Entrepreneurship Schemes for Schools (ES4S) competition are continuously identified as Nigerians Futurepreneurs and Ambassadors of ES4S. Participants are empowered and motivated with range of faveolus cash prize, trophies for participating schools, medals, certificates and historical group picture with mentors and special guest during the event. All with good intention to bring out the very best of students from different communities, states and zones in an atmosphere of developing their natural abilities and gifted skills in an environment that promotes creativity and innovation among participants.
This year, the theme of the ES4S competition is “I AM AN ART FUTUREPRENEUR”. The theme will help eulogize and explore these art Futurepreneurs who are ready and willing to take up arts as an entrepreneurial skill for job creation and development in the country by bringing them to limelight for the world to know.
The 2021 annual contest invites students from primary, secondary and other candidate belonging to the age group 10 years to 25 years to Participate in the competition. Winners of different segments of the ES4S National art works have the chance to be awarded with cash prizes, certificates, motivational items, etc.
